Throughout grades 7 -12, young men receive 3 hours of weekly mentoring focused on developing academic, social-emotional, wellness, and financial literacy skills, plus college &amp; career planning, to emotional skills, greater purpose, more likely to pursue healthy relationships, to be critical thinkers, to take care of their mental and physical well-being, and to have financial literacy.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-media-text has-media-on-the-right is-stacked-on-mobile\" style=\"grid-template-columns:auto 41%\"><div class=\"wp-block-media-text__content\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In 2018, with the support of consultant Dr. Julia Gittleman, YMWAP developed a &#8220;right-sized&#8221; set of evaluation tools.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">YMWAP measures academic and social emotional growth, graduation rates, avoidance of the criminal justice system and teen parenthood, and development and fulfillment of college and career success plans.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Our graduates attend BU, Bates, Carnegie Mellon, Northeastern, Wentworth, UMass, Framingham State, Bunker Hill Community College, Year Up, and more.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">They study accounting, aeronautical, mechanical and electrical engineering, business, computer science, cybersecurity, marine biology, marketing, design, speech pathology, education, and more.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">They are employed as airplane mechanics,
